Attorney Bio.

Steve Farsiou is a partner in the New Jersey law firm of Trinity & Farsiou, LLC. He focuses in employment/labor/civil rights litigation, school law, criminal defense, municipal court and general civil litigation in both the State and Federal court systems.

Mr. Farsiou regularly represents employees and businesses in employment and labor law matters, including negotiation, mediation, arbitration, trial litigation, and appellate litigation of claims of discrimination, harassment, whistleblower retaliation, wrongful discharge, failure to accommodate disabilities, family and medical leave violations, breach of contract, and wage and hour violations. In addition to handling litigation matters, Mr. Farsiou provides counseling regarding day to day human resource issues.

Mr. Farsiou is also one of the leading experts in New Jersey with respect to New Jersey’s Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act, one of the strictest and toughest bullying laws in the country. In doing so, he represents teachers, coaches and students from the initial filing of a complaint through litigation. He lectures on this topic throughout the State.

With respect to municipal court and criminal law cases, Mr. Farsiou has been successfully defending clients for close to 20 years. As a former Municipal Prosecutor, he understands how prosecutors think and the strategies that should be utilized to best defend his clients.

He was nominated as a rising star under 40 years old by Super Lawyer for the years 2014 and 2015.

As a resident of Raritan Township, he serves on the Board of Adjustment.

COMMUNITY/BUSINESS AFFILIATIONS

Within his community, Mr. Farsiou is a highly regarded travel baseball coach for competitive teams in the Central New Jersey area. He is currently the Manager of the Whitehouse Post 284 Senior Legion Baseball Team (19U), which is considered one of the top legion programs in the country. Many of his players have gone on to play college baseball and sign professional baseball contracts.

Mr. Farsiou is also one of three owners of Flemington Baseball & Softball, a baseball and softball training facility.

He is also the President of the Pyramid Baseball League, which oversees all of the American Legion baseball programs in Hunterdon, Somerset and Warren counties.
